The Planting for food and jobs’ program is a Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) initiative aimed at profiling all 5 million farmers in Ghana to create a national database. In 2017, Esoko was contracted onwin to collect biometric and spatial data of 200,000 farmers; recruit and supervise 400 field agents; and provide a real-time reporting dashboard for the ministry to make data-driven decisions on input subsidies.

A customized solution was deployed for MoFA including:
• Software development for mobile data collection integrated with biometrics and GIS mapping
• Customized Reporting dashboards
• Quality assurance
• Transfer of data to central servers at PFJ Management Secretariat
• Field deployment and supervision of 460 enumerators for data collection
• Public awareness campaigns
